The Battery Management System (BMS) is one of the three core electrical components of the new energy vehicle powertrain system. As the safety control system of power batteries, it plays a pivotal role in the safe and reliable operation of the battery system.
By collecting signals from relevant vehicle components and implementing intelligent management, the BMS manages each battery cell, prevents overcharging and overdischarging of the battery, and effectively extends the service life of the battery while ensuring operational safety.
At present, the mainstream BMS topologies in China are divided into two types: centralized and distributed.
The centralized architecture integrates all functions of the battery management system into a single controller. It is suitable for scenarios with small battery pack capacity and fixed forms of modules and battery packs, which can significantly reduce system costs.
The distributed architecture is generally applicable to scenarios with large battery capacity and a large number of modules. It consists of a main board and slave boards. The slave boards collect the voltage and temperature of single cells and realize cell balancing; the main board undertakes the core protection and battery management functions of the BMS.
The company is dedicated to the research of powertrain system solutions and has extensive experience in BMS solution design and product development. Mature software and hardware solutions are available for the main functional units of BMS.
The main control chip adopts an ASIL-D compliant multi-core chip, which provides strong support for complex algorithm operation. The system is fully designed to be compatible with both new and old national charging standards, ensuring the safety of the vehicle charging process.
Adopting the L9963 front-end sampling chip, it features an ultra-high communication speed of 2.66 Mbps, ultra-high cell sampling accuracy of ±3 mV across the full temperature range (1.7V~4.7V), and 16-bit ADC current detection function, ensuring timely and effective data upload. Customers can achieve higher-precision calculation of battery SOC (State of Charge) based on accurate sampling data.
